Rilakkuma!

I tried to crochet a Rilakkuma (Lazy Bear), a super adorable San-X character. The only real pattern for him was in this adorable, but pricey Japanese craft book, so I had to improvise. It's not exactly the same, but I came pretty close. My son fell in love with him, so I'm happy with it. :)

The Infected

After watching 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, I couldn't stop dreaming about zombies. I know technically The Infected are not zombies, but close enough. I decided to crochet a cute little zombie to rid me of my fear. I also made him a zombie girl plushie companion. Both of these were given away in a swap.

Da wanda... wanda... wanda...

Yay! I started crocheting an Ichigo about 2 years ago and finally finished it last month! Ichigo is a cousin to the Little Prince in the popular video game, Katamari Damacy. She is still my favorite character 5 sequels later. The catalyst for completing a hibernating UFO ("unfinished object" for all you non crafters), was a request for a magnetic katamari ball. I ended up making one for my daughter too and she needed a character to roll with, so I crocheted Ichigo's legs, added finishing touches and she was done!

mmm...sculpey

I've started working with polymer clay, because I wanted to start making my own 3-d charms. At first I thought I was hopeless being that my best work with playdoh is a snake. But here are the little cuties I made:

I Love it all!!! Thanks to my swap partners!

video game swap round 3

I sent off my package for craftster's video game swap 3. I had trouble parting with these. I crocheted a Little Prince from Katamari Damacy (also my favorite game), knitted some knucks (fingerless gloves) with playstaytion control buttons embroidered on the knuckles, and made her some pistol earrings (Resident Evil is her favorite game).

School Supplies Swap

I love school supplies. I remember buying pens, pencils, notebooks, and pencil boxes at Sanrio. Having cute supplies made me excited about school. It made me want to do work! I loved showing off my newest Hello Kitty lunch bag or Lisa Frank folder. Remember Yikes! erasers? Those where the shit! Oh, and you where lame if you didn't have a trapper keeper...I didn't have one. Since I loved looking at cute anime characters on the corner of my page as I took notes in class, I decided to host a swap. This is my first time organizing a swap! I'm nervous and excited at the same time. If you would like to join, enter here.

Panda Swap

I've sent off my package to my swap partner for craftster's panda swap. I knitted a pirate panda (i purchased the pattern here), crocheted a headband and ipod cozy, made a necklace and magnets, and threw in some super cute fuzzy stickers. Hope she likes it!
